Automakers are increasingly seeking sophisticated ways to reach the SUV segment,’s and Mazda that line splits the difference between an SUV and a hatchback with the new Mazda CX-3. Elegantly designed, the CX-3 2016 goes on sale this fall starting at $ 20,000, it is the fifth vehicle submitted in the US with the design "Kudos-Soul of Motion" showing the whole of the new SKYACTIV Technology. Comparisons involving hatchbacks CX-3, Mazda CX-5 and 3 are inevitable. But the CX-3 actually shares more in common with the subcompact Mazda 2. The CX-3 is shorter and lower than the versatile Mazda CX-5 and with all-wheel drive I-ACTIV. Bring a 2.0-liter SKYACTIV-G with 146 horsepower, and a complete set of security "ACTIVSENSE" which includes departure warning lane, cross traffic alert, rear view camera, and support brake Smart City (SCBS) and Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC). The six-speed automatic transmission (not offered mechanical), is well coupled to the 2.0-liter engine and comes with a Sport mode which slows while driving. That's good because the engine can feel really soft at less than 3,000 rpm. Mazda admits that it is an individual or for young couples car because the rear compartment has good load capacity. Front-wheel drive is standard, while a new generation of system of all wheel drive Mazda is optional. With front-wheel drive give you 29 mpg in the city and 35 mpg highway, while models of all-wheel drive deliver 27 cities and 32 highways. There are three models to choose from, the Sport, Touring and Grand Touring, with extras such as wheels 16 and 18 inch alloy wheels, sunroof, LED headlamps, heated side mirrors, heated seats, a navigation system, paddle shifters for transmission, a head-up display system and a seven-speaker Bose audio. I think the CX-3 is based on its sports suspension and weight-saving measures to maintain driving pleasure. The interior is well designed, with high quality materials and modern driving aids. Their technical control remains a strong point, with mechanical improvements that will appeal at the corners.
Specification Mazda CX-3 2016, an SUV for young people? Competitors in this growing segment include the Honda HR-V, the Chevrolet Trax, the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul. The CX-3 drives more like a comfortable sedan, the Jeep Renegade or the Fiat 500X, some include it as competitors in the line, although I see them in another sub-segment.
The CX-3 is a bold dynamic in this segment B that is growing like no other entry, and within it, the Mazda CX-3 is one of the best.
